Welcome to our new Members
Nate Benson-Phipps, Ethan Clendon, Harrison Hodgman, Kaitlyn Just, Trevor Just, Evan Ma, Ryan Ma, Georgina Mckenzie and Thomas Taylor have joined the club. It is sad that we could not offer a place to all interested students.
Kaitlyn, Trevor and Harrison were all fitted with jacket and sling on Sunday, and shot a couple of cards. It will take a while to get used to your new setup, and there will no doubt be some adjustments over the coming weeks, but with perseverance you will get good results.
Ethan, Evan and Ryan, it’s your turn this weekend! Remember to wear a long-sleeved top without a hood that you will wear under your shooting jacket. It is important that we get the fit of the jacket right from the beginning - you should use the same top each week for consistency. You don’t want bulk. A long-sleeved t-short is good, a fine merino is perfect.
Congratulations on excellent shooting
Congratulations to Meredith for winning her grade (Master grade, that’s the top grade) at the Colyton Open Championships on Saturday. Meredith shot 100.8, 99.7 and 99.6 for a total score of 298.21.
Congratulations to Bex and Mark B for starting the club competition in style on Sunday. Mark shot 100.8 in the 10--shot competition, and Bex shot 200.12 in the 20-shot competition.
Keeping a record of your shooting
We have a spreadsheet for you to keep a record of your shooting. There’s a completed example on the second tab.
You need to keep a record of all your competition shooting, and submit that at the end of the season. This will determine your grade for next season.
